PREBIC 2016 Meeting


Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshop
18th, 19th and 20th April
Florence, Italy

Each year, PREBIC members meet to discuss the latest developments in preterm birth research, identify knowledge gaps, conduct research and plan future projects. This meeting is attended by clinicians, scientists and academics from a wide range of countries. This multidisciplinary team bring significant expertise and a wealth of resources to PREBIC projects.

The meeting will run for three full days on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th April.   

The programme will include expert presentations on:
 
  • The mechanisms through which progesterone prevents PTB
  • Genomics and progesterone
  • The evolution of genetics in the post GWAS era
  • Next Generation Sequencing and Preterm Birth
  • Using various means of elite writing to improve in the field of describing the results of the conference
  • The use of WGS and family studies to uncover rare genetic variants associated with PTB
  • PREBIC's role in consumer advocacy
